Gas Shield Flux Cored WireOur Gas-shielded flux cored wires have a flux coating that solidifies more quickly than the molten weld material. Ideally suited for welding applications where gas shielded electrodes may have problems, such as outdoors or in windy conditions (light gauge steel plate fabrication or general purpose fabrication of carbon steels). Good choice in poor fit-up situations or when extended stick-outs must be used in hard to reach areas. Our flux coated wires are also available in various grades and can be offered on request.




ROYALFIL GS-12R

Description : ROYALFIL GS-12R is an all position rutiie flux cored wire designed for optimum performance when using 100% CO2 shielding. The smooth metal transfer facilitates easy deposition of vertical-up stringer beads. The slag coverage is complete and designed for easy removal. Weld metal is consistently free of inclusions and porosity for X-ray soundness. This wire is formulated to produce fewer fumes, minimal spatter.

Applications : Royalfil GS-12R is designed for all position single and multipass welding of low and medium carbon steels. Suitable for joining steels conforming to ASTM SA-36/ SA-36M and A,B,C,D grades of SA-283 / SA-283M & SA-414 / SA-414M. e.g. Fabrication in chemical plant machinery structures & steel frames in ship building, heavy bridges & towers.

Description : ROYALFiL GS-15RB is an all position flux cored wire - having stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability designed for weld in flat position and for welding fillet welds in horizontal position. The slag coverage is complete and designed for easy removal. Weld metal is consistently free of inclusions and porosity for radiography soundness. This wire is formulated to have high resistance to cracking with fewer fumes & minimal spatter.

Applications : RoyalfilGS-15RB is designed for all position single and multipass welding of low and medium carbon steels. Suitable for joining steels conforming to ASTM SA-525-70, and C grades of SA-285,1S:2OO2-2A & 2B, IS2062, 1S226 & D1N 17155 HIV e.g. Construction of bridges, pressure vessel & offshore structures.

Description : ROYALFIL GS-18R is rutile base all position flux cored wire for welding of low alloy. This wire is having stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability & excellent bead appearance. This wire is designed for welding CORTON grade weather resistance steels.

Applications : Royalfil GS-18R is designed for welding atmospheric corrosion resistant steel as Resco, corton & ITACOR. Suitable for joining weathering grade steels conforming to ASTM SA-588, SA-242 etc.

Description : ROYALFIL GS-31B is highly basic flux cored wire having stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability. The weld metal is of radiographic quality. This wire is formulated to have excellent crack resistance in rigid joints subjected to high stresses.

Applications : Royalfil GS-31B is ideal for welding carbon steels, fine grained steels subjected to dynamic loads, high stresses where good toughness at sub-zero temperatures with excellent crack resistance required. Description : ROYALFIL QS-41B is basic flux cored wire having stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability. This wire is designed to give minimum 90,000 psi tensile strength with CVN impact of 27J at -51°C

Description : ROYALFIL GS-41B3 is basic flux cored wire having stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability. This wire is designed for welding of creep-resisting 2.25% Cr & 1 % Mo steels.

Applications : Royalfil GS-41B3 is designed for welding of creep-resisting 2.25% Cr & 1% Mo steel in flat and horizontal position. It is used for welding of high temperature, creep resistant Cr-Mo alloy boiler plates, pressure pipes and other pressure vessel applications. Description : ROYALFIL GS-42B is low alloy basic flux cored wire depositing 2% Ni,0.4 % Cr & 0.5% Mo weld metal. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality with very low diffusible hydrogen and stable and smooth arc with good slag detachability.

Applications : Royalfil GS-42B is designed for welding of high strength, fine-grained quenched & tempered steels like N-A-XTRA 65, N-A-XTRA 70, etc. to meet low temperature toughness as well as down to -51°C. It is also used for fabrication of earthmoving equipments, steel constructions, crane plates and other similar applications Suitable for joining steels conforming to ASTM Grade C,D of SA-225 / SA-225M, Grade A.B.C of SA-738 / SA-738M, all thickness range of SA-612 / 612M etc.

Open Arc Flux Cored Wire (Hard Facing)

We offer Open Arc Flux Cored Wire for build-up and hard facing applications. Excellent build-up alloy on all weldable steels except 14% manganese steel. The weld metal is machinable and number of layers are not restricted. Some typical applications are surfacing in gears, shafts, sprockets, pinion-gear in sugar industry, rails, base layer prior to use of a more abrasive resistant overlay on palm oil expelled screws, winch drum, crawler tractor links, crane wheels, steel shafts, mine car wheels, sheaves, etc.

ROYALFIL OA-150

Alloy basis : C,Mn, Si, Al

Size, mm : 1.6, 2.0, 2.4, 2.8

Description : Conforms to AWS A5.20 E70T-4. Designed for single & multi-pass welding applications in the flat and horizontal positions on low and medium carbon steels where high impact properties are not required.

ROYALFIL OA-430

Description : Wire deposits ferritic stainless steel weld metal having -16% chromium and used as a buffer layer on low alloy steel jobs prior to high alloy hard surfacing deposits. The buffer of this low carbon high chromium weld metal takes care of the dilution and prevents formation of hard & crack-propensive martensitic microstructure during hard surfacing.

Applications : Buffer layer.



ROYALFIL OA-715H

Description : The 18Cr-8Ni-5Mn deposit is suitable for joining manganese steel to carbon steel and for build up applications where severe impact and compressive strengths are required. The wire is also used for buffer layer before hard surfacing, The deposited weld metal is of radiographic quality.

Applications : Railway points & crossings, dredging equipments, hammers, jaw & cone crushers, roll crushers, various steel mill applications like: coupling boxes, hook liners, ladles, joining of wear plates etc.



ROYALFIL OA-261

Description : The wire deposits 30Cr-t0Ni type weld metal suitable for both single &. multi-layer welding applications. The wire burns with a stable & smooth arc with good slag detachability. The deposited metal is of radiographic quality and extremely resistant to cracks & fissures.

ROYALFIL OA-720

Description : The wire deposits austenitic manganese steel weld metal suitable for heavy impact loading. The weld metal work hardens after cold work. The wire is designed to re-build & reclaim 14% manganese steel parts. The weld metal has excellent impact resistance with moderate abrasion resistance.

Applications : Crusher cylinders & rollers, crushing hammers, dredging equipments, shovel bucket teeth & lips etc.



ROYALFIL OA-769

Alloy basis : Cr, Mn, Mo

Size, mm : 2.4,2.8

Description : The wire deposits martensitic stainless steel weld metal having -12% chromium, -3.5% nickel, -1,5% molybdenum. The weld metal has an excellent crack & metal-to-metal wear resistance property with very good galling resistance.

Applications : ASTM CA-6 NM casting, continuous casting rolls, parts of steam turbines, centrifugal pump impellers etc.



ROYALFIL OA-730

Alloy basis : Mn, Cr, Mo

Description : The wire results low-alloy air-hardening type deposits having moderate resistance to abrasion and very good resistance to impact & compression. Used for rebuilding of carbon & low alloy steel components where resistance to comptessive loading is of prime importance. Also used as buffer layer prior to hard surfacing.

Applications : Tractor rollers, crane wheels, drive sprockets, pins, shafts, carbon steel rollers, etc.

Description : The wire deposits machinable low alloy air-hardening type weld metal. The weld has moderate abrasion and good impact resistance. Suitable for rebuilding and overlay applications except 14% manganese steel components.

Applications : Crawler tractor rollers, drive sprockets, links, pins, shovel rollers, crane wheels, idle wheels etc.



ROYALFIL OA-750

Description : The deposited alloy is a crack-free weld metal and represents a good combination of abrasion resistance and toughness.

Description : The wire deposits a tough work hardening high manganese-high chromium stainless steel alloy without cracking or spalling. Description : Designed to satisfy outstanding resistance to abrasion even at elevated temperatures. The weld metal has good corrosion & erosion resistance in mineral/water mixers- Stress relief cracks on the weld metal appear as the temperature drops after welding.

Applications : Dredge pump impellers, ore crushers, screw conveyors, shovel bucket teeth, dredge cutters, ore chutes, etc.



ROYALFIL OA-762

Description : Deposits complex chromium carbide-niobium carbide containing weld metal suitable for low impact severe abrasion resistant applications up to 500°C.

Applications : Coke chutes, coal mill exhaust fan blades, conveyor screws, screen in the coal industry, oil expeller screws, etc.

Alloy basis : C, Cr, Mo, Nb, W

Description : The wire deposits complex carbides of chromium, tungsten, niobium in the weld metal. The wire is suitable for low impact & severe abrasion resistant applications for temperatures up to 600°C. The weld metal retains hardness at an elevated temperature.

Applications : Chutes in blast furnace bells & screens, burden area of blast furnace, sinter plant parts, sugarcane industries, etc.
